Depending on provider availability, our hours may vary, but after hours phone care is always available
Our current office hours are:
Mon thru Thu: 8am to 8pm
Friday: 8am to 5pm

Dr. David Ballance
MD
Dr. Ballance received his undergraduate degree from
Willamette University in Salem, Oregon and attended medical
school at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle.
After completing his residency in New York State,
Dr. Ballance returned home to Idaho with his wife Liz, to
raise their family and started practicing as an MD at
Family Health Care in 1998.
Dr. Jane Young
RN, MSN, CRNP, ND
Dr. Jane Young is the founder of Family Health Care.
Leading the way for Nurse Practitioners in Idaho and around
the country, she is proud to own an independent family practice
offering quality patient care.
In 2004, she was among the 1st to attain a Nursing
Doctorate from Case Western University. She has earned recognition
as a published author and researcher, and has lectured at
Boise State University.
Joslyn Dresser
BSN, RN, MSN, FNP-C
Joslyn Dresser earned her Bachelor's of Nursing
from the Lewis-Clark SC in Lewiston Idaho, and later her
Master's in Nursing from Gonzaga University. Born and raised
in Boise, she shares our love of Idaho and the values that
make the Treasure Valley special.
She has special interest in Women's Health,
Pediatrics, and chronic care. Joslyn takes a personal stake in her patients' healthcare journey.
Erin Murphy
PA-C, MPAS
Erin Murphy received her Bachelors degree in Health Science Studies right here at Boise State University, and continued her Physician Assistant education at Northern Arizona University.
She brings experience in preventative medicine and chronic disease management, and also special interest in caring for patients in their "Golden Years". Erin values empowering her patients to take an active role in their healthcare, working together to achieve goals to maintain and improve health.
Andrew McMurray
MPH, MPAS, PA-C
Andrew received his Bachelor of Microbiology from Idaho State University, and graduate degrees from Idaho State and The University of Florida.
Andrew has lived in several countries around the world, and has returned to his home state to raise his family and help his patients accomplish an improved quality of life.
Mary Swanson
BSN, RN, MSN, FNP-C
Mary Swanson earned her Bachelor's of Nursing in 2002
from the University of Texas (Health Science Center), and later her
Master's in Nursing, becoming a Family Nurse Practioner in 2005.
Originally from Steamboat Colorado, Mary has experience in
Family Care, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, and Women's Health, and is fluent
in French and Spanish.
